Whoa. It's probably been 6 years since i last changed diapers and cleared poo for a baby. That was exactly what i did in the past two days. Yes, i babysat my 5month old cousin-Hunter. Cool name eh?
A test of patience. not much connection on the first day. I don't exactly have exaggerated facial expressions so i guess i'm not good at making babies laugh?
So that was it. The first day was boring, not really rewarding in a sense. Luckily dy visited and brought lunch over. After that we sat down to watch vcds that he brought along. but there wasn't much conversation. Probably due to the awkwardness or boredom that he left shortly after? *shrugz* Thanks anyway. It was nice of you to make the effort. =)
Second day was better. Hunter boy began to warm up to me. A smile from me could make him smile too! Though he's a difficult baby to handle, his smile in reply makes it worthwhile. oh and did i mention? after his feed we just laid there like two lazy pigs. his head lying on my tummy. soon after he began poo-ing with all his might. and after that he was so exhausted he just refused to move. Funny sight.
But i'm quite sad that it's three more days to my dear's enlistment. and i didn't spend much time with him in the past two days. Well, i shall just treasure the remaining time we have.
Read this from totto-chan, a true story of Tetsuko Kuroyanagi, during my stay at uncle's. here's something to reflect on.
"Having eyes, but not seeing beauty; having ears, but not hearing music; having minds, but not perceiving truth; having hearts that are never moved and therefore never set on fire."
These are the things to fear.
