some interesting facts for coffee drinkers.

caffeine does not cause dehydration and can in fact me good for athletes?!
http://coffeescience.org/media/dehydration

caffeine does not lower bone density.
caffeine does not cause chronic hypertension.
http://www.ific.org/publications/qa/caffqa.cfm

now another article says otherwise:

It has been shown that caffeine consumption causes a slight and temporary rise in the level of calcium excretion leading to speculation that the use of caffeine could compromise bone health. Yet studies show that adequate calcium consumption offsets the potential effect of caffeine on bone density.

it is interesting that another article states that just 2 tablespoons of milk can offset the decrease in bone density.

oh btw pple are prescribed caffeine to combat tiredness etc...but these are the side effects...

anxiety or panic reactions•confusion•dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting spells•fast or irregular breathing or heartbeat (palpitations)•muscle twitching•nausea and vomiting•seizures (convulsions)•trembling

omg that was what i had when i took coffeebean's beverage...belgium coffee i think..super thick with choc and coffee...but after that i felt like puking, dizzy, faint, fast irregular breathing, palpitations....plus A BAD HEADACHE!

so, i'm caffeine intolerant.

so desu, ne?

omg check this out
Alcohol is a depressant and when mixed with the caffeine (a stimulant) in the energy drink, symptoms can range from severe dehydration, insomnia, vomiting, nose bleeds and even cardiovascular and cardiopulmonary condition.
